Own the First iPad Web Browser with Tabs and 'Night Browsing'

Aarde web browser for the iPad is the FIRST and ONLY iPad web browser with tabbed browsing, independent brightness control, and one-gesture social media interconnectivity. Aarde’s straightforward, and uncomplicated interface makes it easy to use and fast to navigate providing you with a complete browser solution for flexible browsing day or night.

TABBED BROWSING DETAILS

With Aarde’s iPad browser you can create new tabs with a simple touch and swipe through tabs with one gesture. Use the tabs to open new web pages instead of opening new windows. The tab line also alerts you if there are additional pages of unseen tabs. Aarde’s flexibility includes a checkbox option for automatically reloading the current open tabs in your next session. Aarde is always at your disposal... it would bring you a warm towel or a cold beer if it had legs.

INDEPENDENT BRIGHTNESS CONTROL DETAILS

Most iPad browsers are limited to the iPad’s internal independent brightness control that during night browsing may put strain on your eyes or for the loved ones around you. However, the Aarde browser includes an additional independent brightness sliding scale to reduce the screen brightness up to 100X of the normal system minimum. Less eyestrain… less potential for love strain, wake up refreshed and energized.

SOCIAL CONNECTIVITY DETAILS

Why go through a twelve step process to link up to any of the most commonly visited social sharing sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google Bookmarks, Delicious, Digg, etc? With Aarde now you can easily share, collaborate, and network on the Internet with one-gesture post to any of the twelve major sites with a simple swipe. Save yourself time have a lemonade on a hammock or play catch instead while others go from step 1, to step 2, etc.

MORE COOL FEATURES

Aarde also allows you to search up to seven (7) search engines simultaneously including Bing, Google, eBay, Lycos, Wikipedia, Yahoo, and YouTube. Just type in your search term and Aarde will open up separate tabs to display your results from each search engine you selected.

How about import or download all of your Google Bookmarks? Got it!

Direct connectivity to Instapaper? It’s in there!

How about in-page search features? Yes, it’s in there!

Do you like to create groups of browser bookmarks? Absolutely…it’s in there!

How about being able to open group of bookmarks with tabs? Sure why not…already there!

Would you like to save images with one long press gesture? Yes, but we sneaked it in behind our accountants back …it’s in there!

Open links in background tabs? I’ll probably be fired anyway so yes... It’s in there!

Aarde.... Browse how you want to browse either day or night!

Google Bookmarking on the iPad without 14 taps

Now you can Google Bookmark on the iPad the same way as your Desktop - with only 2 "clicks". Other iPad browsers take 12-16 taps until you post a Google Bookmark, but Aarde Web Browser can post in 2 taps.

Try adding a Google Bookmark in your current iPad browser, count the taps, then take a look at Aarde to save time browsing the Web.

First Comment Posted

Not the way we wanted to start after the first few hours of being live on iTunes but hopefully the reviewer will continue using the app and read this post to help us understand the issues raised from their point of view...

Misleading

App just provides a bunch of predefined links to standard digg, stumbleupon, delicious bookmarking sites. No syncing like they claim. This browser lacks the standard bookmarks feature for that matter. Stick with safari and add bookmarks to these social sites manually as that is what this app seems to do. Worth may be like 99c, but 3 dollars is outrageous.

Seems like this user only is using the drop down list on left to view digg, stumbleupon, delicious bookmarking sites. If you use the "+" button on right the URL currently being viewed will be posted and linked to your account so in the case of a post delicious.. If I'm viewing an article from CNN on Steve Jobs and I want to share the article on delicious (or any other social site we support) just press the "+" button on the right and it will post to you delicious account with a single click (or any other account you sign into and select).

Since CNN does not offer delicious on the article, I would have to copy/paste and switch sites just to make a post which is exactly why we integrated automatic posts into Aarde to save you from manually entering them.

If Shinobemola is reading this post, please send us an email or just respond to this post with details on what you were expecting, we should be able to add the features if they are not already present in this version of the app.

Now available on iTunes!!!!

Aarde makes its debut as an iPad app today. The browser is designed to make multitasking easier and place all your favorite sharing tools at your fingertips. Use the bookmarks tool to post directly to Google bookmarks if you want to keep all your links synced between multiple computers. Switch easily between multiple tabs and open all your sites exactly where you left off the last time you used the app.
